Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Gift of Health services.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website www.giftofhealth.us, the donor portal, the volunteer management portal at volunteer.giftofhealth.us, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. About Sankara Healthcare Foundation
Sankara Healthcare Foundation, Inc. ("Sankara," "we," "us," or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 46-0736579) dedicated to providing healthcare access and education in underserved communities.
3. Use of Services
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local laws
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
4. Accounts and Authentication
The Services use OAuth-based authentication (Google, Microsoft, GitHub, Yahoo). You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at info@giftofhealth.us if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
5. Phone Verification
If you choose to verify your phone number, you consent to receive a one-time SMS verification code from Sankara Healthcare Foundation via Twilio. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by removing your phone number from your account. By providing your phone number, you confirm you are the authorized account holder of that number.
6. Donations
All donations made through the Services are voluntary contributions to Sankara Healthcare Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Donations are generally tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. We provide PDF tax receipts for your records; please consult a tax advisor regarding deductibility.
Donations processed through third-party platforms (Fidelity Charitable, Benevity, PayPal, Stripe, Yourcause) are subject to those platforms' own terms and conditions.
7. Volunteer Campaigns
Volunteers who create fundraising campaign pages agree to represent Sankara Healthcare Foundation accurately and in good faith. Campaign pages are subject to review and may be removed at our discretion if they violate these Terms or organizational guidelines.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Services, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Sankara Healthcare Foundation or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SANKARA HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms with an updated date. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
